Last week I was sitting under a couple of birch trees in the centre of Dublin having a coffee. Things kept dropping onto me and I started to brush them off when I realised that they looked just like tiny ivy leaves. They come from the seed heads of the birch trees. I gathered a couple of the seed heads into a napkin and took them home.
I am going to let them dry and see if they remain stable. If so, I will use them to make a little trailing ivy plant. I would be interested to know if anyone else has used these successfully as miniature leaves.
Muy buena idea, pero no puedo ayudarte.Besos.

A very inventive idea Carol. My immediate thought was ...why not paint them with PVA glue. It should dry reasonably clear, have a slight sheen and will make them less likely to break when they dry. Eli x

ReplyDelete"My tiny world" from Bösze. Really beautiful and I guess that your finding is what she´s used for the fallen leaves on the ground...
