Tiny bunch of grapes

I am still learning how to make food with polymer clay.  This bunch of grapes is built around a sprig of twigs from a thyme plant in the garden.

Here it is with the rest of the fruit.  I will be changing this bowl as soon as the new one arrives.  This is extremely rustic!  Also I will probably have another go at the red apple and plums.  It is only when things are photographed and magnified so much that all the flaws are screamingly obvious.  I will re-shoot this bowl over the next month when hopefully it will look better!

Here is the whole dresser which has a bit more work left to do.  I will photograph it in the living room of Honeybee Cottage once it is finished.

I love Toby jugs and was so happy when I found this little one in miniature!  Finally a little peak at the tablecloths and baking items stored in the bottom of the dresser.

  1. Carol, I like your fruits! Especially the orange and the grapes look very natural! Did you make the lemon also?

  10. Those are fantastic grapes. I have NEVER been able to make a good bunch of grapes, so I am most impressed with these - they are just wonderful, as is all the other fruit!!

  13. These are your first attempts?! Goodness Carol, how talented you are. I love the idea of using the twig from a thyme plant. I have made small bushes like this and I agree the effect os perfect.
The dresser is coming on lovely too.

  14. What can I say Carol! The fruity effect is amazing, in fact it looks a lot more real than the real thing. It's a skill I've never mastered so I'm really envious. Hope you're making the most of this 'warm spell', almost too good to be true after the summer we've had so far. Keep up the good work.
